Coordinating the production and delivery of live music sessions, bringing together artists, engineers and production teams from planning through to final mix.
Overview
As Project Manager for BBC Introducing Balcony Sessions, I coordinated the planning and delivery of a live music series in collaboration with BBC Introducing and York St John University. Working alongside artists, engineers and production teams, I managed logistics, communication and production workflows while also contributing as a sound engineer and mixing multiple live performances.

Adapting Under Pressure
Live production rarely goes exactly to plan. Across multiple sessions, equipment failures, missing equipment and last-minute venue changes required quick decisions and constant communication to keep productions running smoothly without compromising the experience for the artists. Learning to adapt under pressure while maintaining a positive experience for artists became one of the most valuable parts of the project.
BBC Introducing reinforced the importance of communication within creative teams. Every successful session depended on preparation, collaboration and the ability to adapt quickly when plans changed. It strengthened my confidence leading projects while balancing creative and technical responsibilities.
